AWS Account-Level Onboarding through Cloud Formation Method

Integration Involves below steps

Step : Perform Integration in the Matters Console

  1. Log in to the Matters Console using Super Admin credentials.

  1. Navigate to:

    1. Navigate to:

      Integrations → Cloud → AWS

      (URL: app.matters.ai/data-security/integrations?type=cloud)

      If you are using a dedicated tenant, please replace the word ‘app’ 
with your tenant name in the Url

  1. Click Connect on the AWS integration card.

  1. Enter:

    • A valid Integration Name

    • Choose Account under Access Level Scope

    • Select Cloud Formation

  1. Integration of CloudTrail Logs for DDR is explained in a separate section.(you can click on this CloudTrail for detailed explanation on CloudTrail).

  1. Click “Continue Setup”

  1. Click on AWS Console Hyperlink to log in to your AWS console.

  1. On Matters Dashboard click on “Open AWS CloudFormation” button, it will navigate to “Quick create Stack” page.

  1. Enter a proper Stack name (e.g., MyIntegrationStack).

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page, check the box for IAM capabilities, then click Create stack.

  1. Wait for the Stack creation to get completed


12. Once Stack Creation gets completed, go to the Outputs tab of your stack to find the IAM Role ARN, and copy it.

  1. On Matters Dashboard Click on “I’ve Deployed the Stack” button.

  1. In next step Paste the Role ARN and click on “Save Integration”.

Once the integration is successfully completed, you will see a confirmation message on the Console.
